Any Orders Placed Within The European Union Will NOT Have To Pay Any Import Fees or Duties. All orders are dispatched from the Republic of Ireland and  because Ireland is part of the EU, any other county ordering from the EU will NOT have to pay any fees. Any other countries placing orders outside the European Union could be subjected to import charges or fees.

Any Fresh Food Orders To Mainland Europe, Will Have To Use Air Express Delivery Option. Standard Delivery by Road is for none Fresh Ambient Food.

The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg, we can now send all fresh meat to these countries on standard delivery by road. Any fresh bread ordered will always have to use express by air delivery service to these 4 countries.

During the cold winter season we can send Bacon, Ham, Pudding, Butter and Cheese on Standard Delivery by Road across Europe because these products have a longer shelf life. Pork (Sausages) Chicken, Lamb and Fresh Bread will always have to go on Express Delivery by Air because these products only have 7 days shelf life. This does not apply if your delivery is go to the Netherlands , Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Express Delivery by Air to Mainland Europe: 1-2 days Transit Time Depending on Location.

Standard Delivery by Road to Mainland Europe: 4-14 Days Transit Time depending on the country.

Once an order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. When your order is dispatched you will get an email saying your order is completed.

The British Food Store Do Not Send Out Delivery Details or Tracking Numbers. Delivery Details and Tracking Numbers are sent out By DHL and DPD

Express Deliveries by Air are delivered by DHL. DHL will notify you when they have collected your order and DHL will send you all the delivery details and tracking number on the same day of collection.

Standard Deliveries by Road are delivered by DPD. DPD will notify you with the tracking number and delivery details when your parcel arrives into the country of destination. That means if when your order leaves our warehouse, it could take up to 14 days for you to get your tracking number and delivery details, depending on your country. We deliver fresh and chilled food across Europe, we dispatch fresh and chilled food only on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. That means all fresh & chilled food orders must be placed before 5pm Friday, to be dispatched on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to be delivered by Friday on that same week. We do this to guarantee same week delivery and that you receive the freshest food possible and still chilled upon arrival.

Save Money on Shipping Tip: For large fresh and ambient food orders, split the order. Put your fresh meat and bread on express delivery by air and everything else on standard delivery by road. Or you can ask a friend who also orders from us, to put both orders on the same delivery and split the delivery costs. 

25kg is the maximum weight limit we have on deliveries and 50cm x 50cm x 50cm is our largest box and any order that exceeds these limits will have, will have some items on the order canceled and refunded so we can fit everything to fit in the box.

If your chilled food delivery was not delivered by Thursday morning, please contact us at support@thebritishfoodstore.com immediately and we will contact DHL to make sure you get your delivery by Friday or food will spoil by Monday. We at The British Food Store will track express chilled deliveries to Europe, but we cannot guarantee to follow up on every delivery to make sure every parcel is delivered on time. The customer need to take ownership of their own chilled food delivery and be proactive to contact us if their delivery did not arrive on time. 

At The British Food Store we do not store fresh meat or bread. When you the customer place an order for fresh bread, dairy or from our butcher counter, we contact our farmers, butchers and bakers to prepare this food for the freshest delivery for you.

When shipping chilled food, we use state of the art chilled packaging. This chilled packaging keeps food chilled up to 5 during transit and even longer during the winter months.

Ambient none chilled fresh food is dispatched Monday to Friday. We do not dispatch or deliver on weekends or public holiday’s

Holiday Closed times: We close at Christmas on the 23rd of December for 2 weeks. We close for 1 week in June

Multipack and sharing bags of crisps and snacks will now weigh 500g each for express shipping across Europe and shipping outside of Europe. This is due to the rise in fuel costs because crisps and snacks are bulky items and need larger boxes to transport. This does not affect standard shipping customers across Europe. 

We also offer Worldwide Delivery of non-perishable foods, hampers and bespoke build your own hampers. Our food and hampers have reached every continent on the plant, North & South America, Asia, Africa, Europe and Australia.

The British Food Store delivers none chilled food everywhere and anywhere in the world.

The British Food Store only deliver chilled food to anywhere in Europe and to North America.

The British Food Store will take full responsibility of none chilled foods delivered worldwide.

The British Food Store will take full responsibility of chilled food delivered within the EU.

The British Food Store do not take responsibility for any chilled food spoiling when sending outside the EU.

The British Food Store do not deliver chilled foods outside of Europe.

The British Food Store do not deliver on Saturday, Sunday or on public holidays. 

The British Food Store are delighted to use DHL as our delivery partner. DHL has over 100 years experience in delivering parcels around the world. The British Food Store do not profit from deliveries, so what DHL charge us we pass on the charge to the purchaser at no extra charge. When placing an order with The British Food Store, we will package, label and dispatch the order to DHL. Once the parcel reaches DHL sorting warehouse and ready for dispatch, DHL will then send an email from the email provided to us to inform the receiver of delivery day and time. If the purchaser do not receive an email please contact us at support@thebritishfoodstore.com and we will send the tracking number to you. Any problems with deliveries in Europe, The British Food Store will do everything we can fix or sort any issues with deliveries. Unfortunately due to language barriers and time zones we strongly recommend that the receiver contact their local DHL office to assist in any delivery problems, this is a much faster process rather than The British Food Store contacting DHL in Dublin to contact DHL in a different country, that could take days back and forward corresponding and this would not be ideal when chilled food is been delivered.

Any failed deliveries through no fault of our own or through no fault of DHL for example, wrong address given, refused delivery by the recipient or no one available to receive the package, the purchaser is liable for delivery charges. Any failed deliveries when it is our fault or the fault of DHL, we at The British Food Store will refund any ambient or none chilled products. Any failed deliveries through no fault of our own or UPS, All Ireland Foods do not refund chilled food for example, fresh meat, dairy or bakery. The British Food Store will except returns on ambient or none chilled products. The British Food Store will not except returns on chilled food for example, fresh meat, dairy, bread, cakes and fruit & vegetables.

Failure to pay any customs charges outside the EU, The British Food Store will not be held responsible if customs confiscate and destroy the package for failure to pay duties.

If have not received your fresh chilled food order by midday on Thursday, please contact us immediately so we can work in the background to your order delivered by Friday.

If you have not received your delivery within 2 weeks after you placed your order place contact us immediately so we can work in the background to get your order delivered.

Any failed deliveries must be reported to us within 4 weeks after purchase. If the customer fails to report that they have not received their order within 4 weeks after purchased could result into none refund.

Minimum spend is €20.

When ordering or sending goods to a NON EU COUNTRY and if customs require clearance, it is the receiver responsibility to declare the package or the receiver can appoint a broker agent to declare the package. If any charges occur, the receiver is required to pay these charges. The British Food Store do not accept responsibility for any hold ups or charges that occur during customs clearance
